Music adds tremendous value to our lives.
And, working everyday to add value to the musical careers of artists, to songs written by songwriters and to the royalty producing catalogues of music owners is our top priority.
Over 25 years ago, Bluewater signed its first singer/songwriter, David Lynn Jones. Within months of signing, David’s song, “Living In The Promiseland”, was cut by Willie Nelson. The song became Bluewater's first number one and was followed by many other great recordings that include:
Being compensated fairly for music is a right, literally, under copyright laws throughout the world. Administering copyrights to enhance the revenue for songwriters and publishers is serious work, and we are devoted to achieving the best results. With that in mind, Bluewater has built an administration department composed of experts in accounting, song registration, copyright and licensing. And, being a direct member of over 20 performance right and mechanical right societies that covers 50 countries throughout the world speeds up the arrival and accuracy of royalty collections for Bluewater and its clients while minimizing third party commissions. In the US, Bluewater has entered into agreements to fully monetize uses in the digital marketplace, collecting from digital sources such as Spotify, YouTube, Rhapsody, Amazon, iTunes Match, 7 Digital, Medianet and Xbox. For traditional CD and download releases, Bluewater issues all licenses in-house directly with record labels.
We know just how important it is to locate and recover every penny possible so that our music creators can support their families and continue to do what they love - bringing music to the world.
Now, approaching its 30th year, Bluewater is embarking on a new venture - Artist Management. With its extensive contacts in the music industry and creative promotional ideas, Bluewater is set to increase the fan base of bands and musical acts of all genres. Kink Ador is the company's first signing and the band's new album, "Free World," will be released in early 2014.
